Meet our Staff!

Kelsey is an occupational therapist (OT) at Children’s Therapy Center.

What do you enjoy and value most about working at CTC as an occupational therapist?

The kids! The children I have the pleasure of working with teach me new things each day. They inspire me with their never-ending strength and resilience. I laugh hard and often with them and feel so grateful for the shared joy. I also love spending time getting to know caregivers, navigating difficult times together, and celebrating their personal strengths. There is so much to enjoy and value at CTC!

What is your favorite activity to share with families?

I love sharing some ideas for sensory-processing activities and then seeing families really get creative and come up with activities that will work in their home environment. Blanket forts, pillow piles, blanket swings, and DIY balance beams are some of my favorite activities!

Fifth Annual Fatherhood Summit

The Washington Fatherhood Council is a collaborative, transformational group of more than 35 state and local providers, academics and — most importantly — fathers with lived expertise, which helps further the goals of reducing poverty and inequality. We offer resources focused on the improvement of service providers around the state, connecting dads to resources they need help finding, and bringing fathers with their lived experiences into these discussions.

Register today or learn more about their annual summit May 16-18, 2023.

Citizenship Day in Tacoma

If you know someone that is wanting to apply for citizenship, there is an upcoming Citizenship Day in Tacoma at Tacoma House on Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Tacoma.

Citizenship Day is a FREE, day-long workshop where volunteer immigration attorneys, paralegals, and interpreters come together to provide assistance with citizenship applications. All lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders) interested in applying for U.S. citizenship are welcome to participate.

The Washington New Americans Program is a partnership between OneAmerica and the Washington State Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Since the program began in 2008, we have held workshops across Washington State, including Des Moines, Renton, SeaTac, Seattle, Tacoma, Tukwila, and White Center, and helped more than 3,000 people apply for citizenship.
