To Our Families: As the Coronavirus COVID-19
outbreak continues to impact our community, CTC is exploring ways to protect
the health and safety of our clients and staff while still making services
available. We have determined that the best way to do this is by only
offering video-based services (tele-intervention) and discontinuing in-person
visits at this time.
Beginning Tuesday, March 17, our
centers will CLOSE to families and all classroom services will be cancelled. Any scheduled therapy sessions
for center-based families (ages 3-18) and Early Intervention families (ages
birth to 3) will move to tele-intervention only. These temporary standards of
operation are in effect beginning Tuesday, March 17. We will continue to access
our program delivery needs while being mindful of the status of the virus and
widespread health concerns.

ABOUT TELE-INTERVENTION Our CTC team will provide video-based
services to connect with families remotely beginning March 17, 2020. Your
therapist will answer your questions, provide suggestions for activities you
can work on with your child, and connect you to helpful resources and
information. Research has shown tele-intervention to be an effective
method for providing therapy, education, and family support services. Please consider
giving it a try! If you choose this option, our
staff will connect with you through secure Zoom
videoconferencing. Families can use a smartphone, mobile device, or
computer for this connection. Families enrolled in early Intervention will have
access to interpreters so sessions take place in your primary language. We are
working for that capability for our center-based service families as well. If you are interested in trying
tele-intervention, please contact your therapist.

Please be assured that CTC is actively monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak. We are in contact with our Public Health departments in King and Pierce counties and continue to closely follow guidance from the Washington State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

The individuals and families affected by this outbreak are in our minds and hearts as we take proactive measures to protect our community. Thank you for your continued patience and support!

View our Illness Policy Please remember: viruses do not discriminate, and neither
should we. Help us prevent discrimination or stigmatization by sharing accurate
information. COVID-19 infection is not connected to any race, ethnicity, or
nationality.
