To our CTC Families:
All of us at CTC hope that you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe. We recognize that the change in how we deliver our services at this time (from in-person to video conferencing, or tele-intervention) has been a very big adjustment. We appreciate your partnership and flexibility as we continue to provide essential services for your child. The health, progress and well-being of your child are very important to us, and we are grateful that tele-intervention has allowed us to continue delivering services in a safe way during this pandemic. We are in this together with you!
Important Program Updates – May 2020
• All CTC services will continue to be provided through tele-intervention through June 30.
• We are working on a plan to safely resume in-person services, hopefully beginning in July. No in-person visits will be scheduled until that time.
CTC follows the recommendations of the Washington State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, and our partner health agencies in making decisions about service delivery. We will continue to update families with new information and decisions as they are made.
We are all looking forward to resuming in-person visits as soon as it is safe to do so. However, we anticipate our return to “normal” will look very different than it did before the pandemic. We want you to be prepared for these changes as well. CTC is a health care provider and therefore must follow the same guidelines that other providers are following when considering a return to the workplace. This includes having adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) for services; establishing new safety protocols; and limiting the numbers of people in our buildings at any given time. These are new standards for us and for many other providers, and it will take some time for us to be ready to implement them.
If you have not yet considered trying tele-intervention and are concerned for your child’s progress, we encourage you to call us at 253-854-5660 or talk with your CTC team and give it a try. You may also want to consider joining our Parent Support Group on Facebook so you can access additional support for tele-intervention and other topics from CTC parents just like you.
